SpiderTracks S3 Unit

Spidertracks are world leaders in the field of satellite-based real-time flight tracking. The idea for Spidertracks took root in 2005, when a high-profile New Zealander crashed his helicopter near the West Coast of the North Island. The resulting search and rescue effort took two full weeks, and took at a huge financial and emotional toll on his loved ones... surely there must be a better and more affordable way to locate downed aircraft! Perplexed by the lack of a reliable and affordable solution, the team got to work in Pohangina Valley [near Palmerston North], and the idea for Spidertracks was born. [1]

Their original product transformed the industry. Beta Solutions was privileged to work with and provide Spidertracks with hardware electronic design services for future product iterations - incorporating technologies such as robust power supplies, auto antenna switching and USB OTG. The product was also required to pass DO-160 compliance testing.

Additionally we worked closely with the industrial designers to ensure that PCB would seamlessly mount within the Spider enclosure.
